SUPPLEMENTARY TELEGRAMS.
[The following appeared in owr issue of Saturday last:—]
(From our own correspondent.) Bunedin, Friday, 8 p.m. The Superintendent has convened a meeting of members of the House of Kepresentar tives, and of the Piovincial Council, Mayors of Municipalities, Chairmen of District Road Boards, and of Local Education Committees, for Wednesday, Bth November next, to confer and determine as the best means of extricating the Province of Ofcago from the evil results involved in the Abolition of Pro*' vinces Act. The contractor for the Hook contract states that the train will be running from Timarn to Oamaru within a month. Cablegrams announce the arrival at Sydney of the ship, La Hogue, believed to be wrecked off Nelson. Discouraging accounts continue from Komara. A billiard match of a thousand up for £IOO was played between Mansen and Nesbitt last night, and was won by the former. PARLIAMENTARY. Parliament will be prorogued on Monday." Grey's Triennial Parliament and Permissive Abolition Bills were both rejected last night_
