Replying to attacks upon the Government for apathy in Eastern affairs, Mr. JUonrko denied that the Government show indifference, and read extracts to show that the statements in the ' I aily News ' were, in many respects, wild fables and colored expressions of partisanship. An alarming outbreak of small-pox has occurred at Blackburn. Three utreets are quarantined n consequence.
