MR. M'DONALD'S LETTER.
(To the Editor oj the Mount Ida Chronicle.) Sik,—ln jour issue of July 28th (wnicli came to hand on the sth.) Mr. John M'Donald, speaking of the road from Cornish Town, says that a man in gum boots or on horseback can, .hardly get" along. I think Mr. M'Donald has made a.n-error by not stating what part of the.road was in this state. I find that the road from Mr. M'Donald's residence to where it is purposed building the new school (via Deep Gully), is impassible, some little distance before reaching the said gully. Prom thence to Hamilton the road is very lair. How Mr. M'Donald pomes to enumerate 20 children out of 15, including those in arm, and the distance of five' miles, lam at a loss to find out. —I am, &c., " J. S. Stowb. Hamilton, Aug. 7th, .1876.
