Hesisting the Police. —John Creighton was further informed against for resisting the poh'je on the same dute. The evidence showed that defendant had at first come gently wiih the constable who arrested him, but after going a little way had thrown himself down, and violently resisted—biting the constable in the hand. Fined £5, and (is. (id. costs. Hubert Jf.hnsk.nc v. Patrick I'yan.— Debt, £ls f>s., tin a dishonored bill. This bill had originally bei n accepted in favor of Messrs. W. and J. Sanders, by whom it was endorsed, and it was now held by the plaintiff. Defendant stated that one of the Messrs. Sanders had forgiven him the debt, but the Court was unable to do otherwise than give judgment upon the bill lor the amount claimed, with 10s. costs, and £1 Is. professional fee. Mr. liowlatt for plaintiff. A slaughtering license was granted to Thomas Vickery, there being no objection.
