The Kaitangata Railway will be formally opened on Friday. It is stated that the only business on Thursday will be the formal opening of the House by Commission, for the election of a Speaker—the Vice-Regal speech not being delivered till the following day. At Christchnrch Katehpole, husband and wife, have been committed for arson. The following letters have been published here:— "June sth, 1876.
