WEECK OF THE STRATHMORE
The Press Agency obtained the following information in reference to the wreck of the Strathmore : G-alle, March 3. " The Strathmore was wrecked on the Twelve Apostles Kock, Crozets, on the night of June 30. Of 88 souls 49 were landed, and the remainder were lost, including Miss Henderson. Five died on shore from exposure including Mr. Henderson. The others subsisted miserably for seven months, nothing hrving been saved from the vessel; and the boats were lost. These were saved by the whaler Y.oung Phoenix, half of whom were transhipped to the ship Sierra Morena and landed at Galle February 2-1. First-class —Mr. Fred. Beutley, Mr. Percy Joslen; third-class—liood, Ward, Ward, Standing, Wilson, Wright, iSeudi, and eight of the crew. The Young Phoenix proceeded to the Mauritius and landed—-first-class passengers, Mr. and Mrs. Wordsworth, Mr. Alfred Walker, Mr. Hylton Keith, and 20 of the crow.
