EERATID takes tbe present • opportunity of informing residents of the Northern Goldfield3 and the general public that his Factory being replete with every conveniencp, he is now turning out an article not to be equalled. Mr. Feraud has siucceeded in producing ABOMATIC TOMP BITTER WINES, which are not only agreeable beverages, but also have excellent medicinal qualities. The following iB Professor Black's report:— " University, Dunedin, Ot.ugo, New Zealand Laboratory. Glass Beverages. November sth, 1875. I hare examined for Mr. J. D. Feraud, of Monto Christo, Clyde, Otago, two samples of Aromatic Tonic Bitters, with tbe following result; Nu. 827 is a sherry colored, and No. 828 is a port wine red colored liquid ; they are both perfectly transparent Hhowirig the purity of the water and other substances employed in their manufacture. These two bevorages have a alight acid chemical roaction, arid possess an agreeable, cool bitter taste, blended with a sensation of swoetuess, arising from the saccharine matter of the fruit of which they arc the fermented extract. • I have also examined the aromatic und other flavoring substances used by Mr. Feraud in their manufacture, and from the proportions in which they are blended with the fruit wine, they must bo pronounced perfectly safe, and'freo from anything like deleterious properties. I consider this wine, therefore, an agreeable and perfectly safe beverage, and when diluted with three or four times their bulk of water, they will make a pood cooling summer drink. JAMES G.
