Audited and found Correct. RICHARD WEBBER j . J. LORY < | Auditors. AUDITOR'S REPORT, For the Half-Year ending December 28, ./ ."'1875. .; The .Auditors have much pleasure in reporting for the information of the Officers arid Brethren of the Lodge that they have examined the Permanent Secretary's Books, arid found them correct in every particular. ; The Auditors are glad to be in a position to congratulate the Brethren upon the prosperous condition disclosed by the Secretary's hooks, showing as they do, a balance of £lllO 18s. Gd., to the credit of the Lodge. The Auditors have to state that they found the Management Fund indebted to the Sick Fund in the sum of £92 6s. Id This however is accounted for by the fact that the amount of £27 Is. Id. has been paid for instituting a Purple Lodge in"this district, and for. goods which are now in stock. The Auditors have to explain that Bro. Dr. Whitton, Medical Officer of the Lodge, has been paid up to 16th. December last so that , the calls upon the Management Fund for the current half-year will be considerably decreased. The suggestion thrown out by the Auditors in the last report, that the Trustees should refund all interest accruing on money over 4 per cent, (in accordance with a resolution passed by the Lodge), has been, we are pleased to observe, given effect to, and a cheque for £36 15s. has'during the last halfyear been placed to the credit of this Management Fund. It has been arranged, we believe, to draw this cheque annually, which will be more satisfactory than receiving it half-yearly.' In conclusion, the Auditors desire to express tlieir obligation to the Permanent Secretary for the services rendered to them in the performance of their duty, and for the courteby exhibited by him in the explanation of the various details of accounts—an assistance which has materially facilitated the duties devolving upon the Auditors. The Auditors suggest that the Permanent Secretary's salary be increased to £3O per annum. Seeing the amount of work he has to get through he is highly deserving of it. ?LORY D WEBBER i Auditors. , January 10, 1876.
