VV e placed a column of ,our- space this week at Mr. Hertslet's disposal, but pressure of his engagements no doubt prevented him from furnishing us with Jhis notes.

Mr. de Lautopb addressed a small meeting at Serpentine on Friday evening, - and a well attended meeting at Hamilton on Saturday evening. At both places he received a strong vote of confidence. Monday night Mr. de Lautour addressed about sixty electors at the School House, St. Bathans, and was well received—a vote ..of ; confidence being unanimously carried." -
