The object of the Company is to prospect for and test the auriferous nature jof the' Main Bottom in the vicinity of Naseby, for which purpose the Company propose commencing operations in the Main Hogburn Gully, below the shelf where the reef ha<> been lost. It is well known to many of the old Hogburn miners that good gold has been got upon the main reef at the head of the Main Hogburn and Spec Gullies. That the reef has broken off, or so suddenly dipped to Buch a depth, that individual enterprise has not had the means to bottom shafts, which have, in more than one instance, been commenced. The Promoters of the Company have secured protection from the Warden for Fifty Acres of Ground in the Main Hogburn Gully for prospecting purposes; and, upon gold being struck, they have the right to select an area of Twenty Acres as a special claim.
