The general boundaries of the district are as: follows viz.:—Commencing at Mount St., Bathansj thence by the Dunstan Range to the head' of Lauder Creek, thence by Lauder Creek to; its junction with the Manuherikia River, thence by the Manuherikia to the junction of .the Poolburn, thence by the Poolburn to its junction with the Idaburn, thence by a line southeast to Rough Ridge, thence by Rough ■ Ridge to South Rough Ridge Hill, thence by the ranges to Lainmerlaw, thence by the ranges and Deep Stream to the Taieri River, thence by Allen Creek and a right line to the eastern boundary of the Otago Q-oldfield, thence by the eastern and northern boundaries of the Q-oldfield to the starting point.
