Certificates for public'licenses we're granted to A. H. Hammond, Gr. Cockerell, N. Salmon, R. Donaldson, John Freeland, B. L. Luks, ~J. Morrison, J. Deem, and J. Eggers. ": ' Transfer of license was also ; granted from J. B. L. Luks to R. Kett. The Court paid a compliment to Mr. Luks for the attention given to travellers at the Waihemo Hotel, which, it was hoped, would be equally good in the hands of Mr. Kett. The need of better accommodation being furnished at the Pigroot Hotel, to meet thef necessities of the traffic, was also pointed out.
