Barnett.—This was an information that the defendant, a general servant "of the plaintiff (who is landlord of the Victoria Hotel) did; on the night of the 25th instant, make use of abusive language, and threaten to strike him, the 'saidE. T.George. The evidence of the plaintiff having been taken, and a statement made by the defendant, the Chairman said that the Bench considered the case.proved; but, as the conduct of defendant would be in effect, a dissolution of the agreement between him and his master, and as it had been shown that the amount of wages due was something like £3 Iss:v the Court was of opinion that the defendant would be sufficiently punished, and the law vindicated/by the imposition of a fine of ss.- and costs."
