RE FIRE INSURANCE.
(To the Editor of the Moctnt Ida Ohbowiout.) St. Bathans, March 16. Bik,—Wishing to insure my property against the risk of fire some time ago, but thinking the premium too high, I waited Until the township was sold, thinking that when the buildings were removed off the street, and a wider space left between, the risk from fire would be less, and the premium lower. But it is now nearly eight months since the land was sold, and no •ign of the street being, widened. I do not know whoso duty it is to look after such; affairs—l think the Progress Committee should. Children's lives and limbs are often endangered, for in some parts of the street two drays cannot pass each other. I believe the Progress Committee are trying to get tho coach to come through here next year, but, good whip as Harry is, it would take him all hie time to find his way through. I do hope now that we aro to have water laid od. that the Fire Insurance . agents will try to get the buildings shifted back, to lessen the risk, so that we can get insured for u moderate premium.—l am, &c., Householder.
