The grounds for such application are that the applicant haa already incurred an outlay of about One Thouoand Two Hundred Pounds (£I2UC) in bringing iu a water race and constructing a tail race in connection with working the ground, and a much greater outlay will have to be incurred in making a cutting to carry off the tailings. This cutting will be fully half a-mile in length.
