.Resident Magistrate's Couet. (Before H. W. Kobinaon, Esq., RM.) The only business in this Court was the granting of a slaughtering license to Eeenan and Morgan, and "a billiard license to Samuel Hanger. \ ■ ♦ "... i Warden's CotrsT. (Before H. W.Kobinson, Esq., Warden.) United M. and E. Company v. Giles Talty.—Complaint that the defendant, being holder of an extended claim at Graveyard Hill, had done no work upon it since obtaining his certificate, about twelve months previously. Complainants asked that the claim be declared forfeit, and that they be relieved from certain conditions imposed upon their water li. cense in reference to such claim. Defendant admitted the non-working of the. ground, but endeavored to show that he was justified, because, for part of the time, he had been working at the construction of a race. Judgment was given tor the forfeiture of the claim, and the conditions on complainants' water license cancelled. Grants.—lt. Brown and others, exten-. sion of water race ; Giles Taltj, tail race ; Davies and others, tail raco; Talty and another, protection ; Barron and another, protection.
