MINING ASSOCIATION
The usual- monthly meeting of the Association was held at Mr. Busch's residence on Wednesday evening last. Pre-sent-Messrs. Jackson (chair), Cooper, Woodhul, Moore, Webber; and Shannon. Thisreforred to Mr. Wilson's resident areaabout a quarter of an acre. The report" stated that they had sunk and bottomed' three holes, averaging 10ft. 6in. in depth; and, from the prospects obtained, they were convinced the ground could not be made to pay with free water. -After some discussion it was considered that the ground in question, if sold, would be-de-trimental to mining interest. The usual vote of thanks to Mr. Busch terminated the proceedings.
