The German woman Caroline Gutschtorg died from injuries sustained by the fire at Otakia on Wednesday. A. fatnl nccick'Dt occurred at Deborah Buy tunnel works this morning, by which James Rens'liuw was killed, and two others (John Sims and Alex Simpson) were seriously hurt.Renshaw was drying some dynamite in a billy at a fire iu a b'iicksniith's shop, pound exploded, killing him instantly. The survivors were conveyed to Dunedin hospital. In Ifucaßsej 's application for a writ of attachmrnt ugain-fc the 'Giurdian' Company, his Honor reserved judgment. Major Gordon, in his Volunteer 'Report, recommended the discontinuance amongst others, of the Queenstown and Riverton KilLs; also that the commissions of Majors Bathgate, Jones, and Steward should lapse or be cancelled, they not having fulfilled their commissions.
