DISTRICT LAND OFFICE.
Monday, Aug. 24. (Before H. A. 'Stratford, Esq., District Land Officer) The application of Dugald Sinclair for, a site on the east side of Koach's Gully, in the township of Naseby, was entertained. The applicant not appearing, the Secretary of the Mining Association objected to the application, and called on Eichard Webber to give evidence, who stated that although some portions of the area applied for had been worked out, the remainder, in his opinion, was payably, auriferous taking into consideration the increase of supply of water in prospective; and, even should it not be proved payable.it is probable that the land will be required for conveying across it races and hoses, to work ground below: On these grounds.he would recommend that the application be refused. The District Land Officer promised to endorse the recommendation.
