Resident Magistbate's Coubt. (Before H. A. Stratford, Esq., 8.M.) O'Brien v. Price.—Suit for £9 Bs. Bd. Judgment for £8 3s. Bd, and costs 135., to be paid on 9th September. David Forsyth Main v. M. A. Collins. —Suit for trespass, £5. Judgment reserved ; to be given at Naseby on August [The following is a note of the judgment given at Naseby on the 20th :—The Magistrate said it was true that the evidence adduced at the hearing disclosed matters not mentioned in the plaint—as to sheep, dogs, &c; but the Court is not competent to decide on anything beyond the bill of particulars, which refers only to defendant trespassing on Run No. 205. As there is nothing in the evidence to shew that damage was sustained by any action of the defendant, within the meaning of the plaint, the plaintiff will be nonsuited, with Court costs 95., and defendant allowed ss. for his attendance.] , ♦ Wabden's Coubt. (Before H. A.'Stratford, Esq., Warden.) James Mann was granted a dam, with certain conditions imposed. H. M'Aulay was also granted a dam, with certain conditions imposed. A. Teviotdale was granted a copy of tail race certificate 470; and his' water race licenses to be renewed from the blocks in the Mining Registration Office at Naseby. Written applications were made to the Warden concerning a site as a school reserve on the sale of the township. The Warden informed those interested that the Secretary for Lands and Works would visit Hyde in a few days, and that they would be able to bring these matters under his immediate notice. He would also write to the Government, and speak to the Secretary as he passed through Naseby.
