It. is a remarkable coincidence that the first three hor&a in : the -Awot Gold Cup Race this year : were- the game trio that came irr first in the GrandLFnze of Paris last year... In the Cup Jflr..de la Marc's Boiard was first; whilst Mr. Xferrya I)oncaster and M. le Fevre's Flageolet ran. a dead heat for; the second place. In the Grand Prize these horses, were placed thus :—Boiard, 1; .Flageolet, 2 , Doncaster, 3. The last horse has been twice defeated by Boiard ; yet, at the Derby of 1873, and again at the last St. Leger, Boncaster was the winnerj on the last occasion beating the French horse by several lengths. Flageolet is said to be a good horse, but not toibe depended upon. The 'Timartr Herald' suggests the possibility of, Br^Featherstonnv-shipping Sullivan to JNew Zealand ,as a free emigrant. ~;U-. ; V t .,i^.^r.
