Resident Magistrate's Court. (Before H. A. Stratford, Esq.,'R. M.) " Anders Christensen, for being drunk and disorderly, was fined 105.,. or in default 24 hours' imprisonment'. Claffy Bros. v. Ah Chee.—Suit for £l7 16s. 6d., for goods sold and delirered. In. ■this case it appeared tnat Ah Chee had left a watch as security for his debts to the plaintiffs, and was willing to allow £B, being the'value of the watch, as part payment of the debt, if Claffy would accept it. The plaintiff assented; and, as the amount proved was £ll, judgment was given for £3. Mr. Bailey appeared for the defendant. Donaldson v. Griffin.—Not; sufficient service. Fresh summons to issue. Eggers Bros. v. Lee Chee.—Distress warrant. Amount satisfied. Thomas Stanley was granted a slaughtering license.
