(Prom our special correspondent.) The Provincial Government lelegraphedto the Conference Ihnt the Kxecutive had decided it wmb inexpedient to interfere in the. Maerewheniui river pollution case, penning it being dealt with by the Provincial Council Memorials were sanctioned for prese'iuation to the Provincial and General Governments for funds in aid of the defence. It was agreed to recommend that gold be sent to the Victorian Mint, where possible, otherwise to be sold to one bank only, till the j price be raised. It is understood that, a bant if> willing to make advances on alluvial gold and assay parcels, ten ounces and upwards. The Goldfields Bill is now being liiscussed. The sitting-will probably terininuce on Saturday.
