MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.

The adjourned meeting of the Council was held in the Council: Chambers on Wednesday; last. Eresent-—His. Worship the Mayor,, and Crs. Inder, Craig, Brookes, and de Lautour.

• TOWN HAIL. This meeting was held for the purpose of considering tenders for building TW.n Hall. There were no tenders received. It was therefore moved by Cr. Cbaig, seconded by Cr. Indeb, and carried—- ." That tenders be called for the erection of walls for a Town Hall—separate tenders for cob and, stone walls—with stone foundations at per yard. Tenders to be lodged with the Town Clerk not later than 6 p.m. on Wednesday, 11th inst.

NOTICES OF MOTION. By Cr. de Latttoub—"That it is ad-: visable that the Borough of Naseby obtain powers by Ordinance to construct or purchase "Water Works for the supply of the ratepayers, under the provisions of the. Municipal Corporations Water Works Act, 1872, and that the Town Clerk write to the Provincial Secretary, requesting that the Provincial Solicitor draw up and lay before, the Provincial Council an Ordinance to bring the Borough of Naseby under the Act, 1872 - " By Cr. Cbaig—"That the Mayor re. quest Mr. Geo. Stephens, or some other competent person, to 'Organise and take command of the Fire Brigade.
