The Bank of New Zealand has several parcels of retorted gold awaiting being. - melted, but owing to the furnace not having yet been tempered only one parcel, was melted yesterday. The weight of retorted gold from the Fiery Cross Company's, mine, Boatman's, is 791 025., obtained from 440 tons of stone, showing an average of 1 oz. 15£ dwt. to the ton.
