KYEBURN.

(To (he EditoroftJie Mount Ida Chbojjicle.) November 4th, 1873. __l Sir,—l. am desirous, through the medium ; of your columns, .of. t calling the attention of the Kyeburri Cemetery Committee (if there is .'- still such a body in existence) to the state of our public burying ground. Having occasion to visit the cemetery a short time since, I was astonished to perceive that it had been made use of as a stockyard by some wretch living in the vicinity, as was quite evident from the numerous footprints of horses in different parts of it—in fact the ground in some places was trodden as hard as a dray track. Now, sir, such a state, of things ia not to be tolerated in a civilised and Christian community. It is really an outrage, upon the feelings of persons having friends buried there that such shotild be allowed to happen without the interposition of the Committee. They are perhaps. unaware of the cemetery beiag used in the manner above mentioned. If so, I can only say they are not looking after the trust reposed in them by the public. If they make proper enquiries they will . very easily ascertain the name of one of the parties guilty of such a mean, soulless action. I trust the Committee will see the necessity of procuring a lock for the gate.—l am, &C.V- '" Kyeburkith. 1
