RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT
Satueday, September 13th. (Before W. Orumitt and L. W. Btiseh, Esq*, JVP.'s.) George Marshall, John Cogan, David Messent, Richard Francis, Philip Augustus Connolly, Joseph Packman, Solomon .London, and Thomas Viekery were summoned by the police under the Town and Country Police Ordinance, 1862, for allowing horses to stray in the.public streets of JSTaseby. Sub-Inspector M'Cluskey stated that the cases were brought to serve as a caution to the parties summoned and others for the future, and that he did not wish to press for large fines. The Bench therefore inflicted the" nominal' fine of one shilling, and ss. 6d. costs in each case. Wednesday, September 17th. James Alexander was charged with being drunk and disorderly at half-past twelve o'clock on the morning of the 16th instant. Fined 10s.
