MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.
The ordinary meeting of the Council was held on Wednesday evening last. Present—his Worship the Mayor, Crs. Hjorring, Craig, Brookes, and de Lautour. Minutes of last meeting were read and confirmed. OUTWABD CORRESPONDENCE. Copy of letter to manager of Homeward Bound Company in reference to the road to Presbyterian Church. Copy of letter in reply to Webber and Moore's application for permission to work road near Masonic Hall. Copy of letter to Provincial Engineer stating that the Council is willing to undertake the expenditure of the money allowed for the Eyeburn roads. Copy of letter to Chairman Blacks Progress. Committee, tendering, the thanks of the Council fur the valuable replies to questions on Commonage. INWARD CORRESPONDENCE. Letter from manager Homeward Bound Company, promising to make good the road to Presbyterian Church. /feiSPOIIT ON EYEBURN .ROAD. Cr. de Lautotjr, on behalf of the Committee appointed to inspect and report upon the work required to be clone upon the Syeburn roads, informed the Mayor that the Committee had arranged to do so on the 16th inst-., and would be prepared to report at next meeting of the Council. BTE-liAWS. The Town Clerk reported that no objection bad been lodged agoinst the proposed ByeLaws, which were again read and considered. After several amendments, they were adopted, and ordered to be forwarded to his Honor the Superintendent, for his approval and sanction. POSTPONEMENT. llxe remaining business on the paper was postponed till nest meeting, in consequence of the late huijr—l2 o'clock.
