In an election address at Palmerston, Mr J. L. Gillies, one of the candidates for the representation of "Waikouaiti in the General Assembly, in reply to a question said—"The only reason he could give for the proposed tramway up the Valley (Waihemo) was the great pressure brought to bear by the representatives of Mount Ida on the Government. Two votes were something. He would oppose-, the tramway all he could. ;' There however, not the slightest, probability of its being constructed. Neither the General nor Provincial Governments had funds to do it, unless land was secured for .the Holloway's Pills. —lmpurity of the Blood. —ln most human acts, there are a thousand ways of going wrong to one of going right. The right way to preserve or restore health, is to keep the blood pure and the corporal fuucfcions regular. These objects are quietly and fully obtained by Holloway's Balsamic Pills, which purge from the Bystem all morbid matters before they have caused any serious derangements; or, if mischief have been already produced, they arrest its progress and repair its devastations. This is the only rational, treatment, ever safe, always effective. When the spirits flag, when the nerves fail in their duty, when the appetite is capricious and the digestion is at fault, these admirable Pills will readily re-organise the disordered actions.
