MUNICIPAL COUNCIL.

The first regular."meeting''"of the Municipal Council, of Is'aseby was held on Tuesday last in the Victoria JIalL , Present: His ' Worship' the May<.r ,(Mr. K. Wilson- consented to take the' ; minutes. The minutes of -the first special meeting were read, : amended, and confirmed. TOWS' CLERK. Seven .applications for the'office of Town Clerk were received. The following are the names of the applicants : —Messrs. G. LV : Newmarch, H. C. Hertslet, A. 11. Keene, E. C. Smith, H. B. M'lntosh, Geo. Clarke, and W. L. Bailey. A bwllot. was taken with the folloWing M'lntosh,. 1. There being a.tie between Messr's. Smith and Clarke, the Mayor his castjhg vote in favor, of the latter gentleman.
