KYEBURN.
(To the Editor of the Mount? Ida Chkonici.e.> .Sir,—Tour issue of the 31st ult. contained a letter from the Kyeburn,* written by^your '"'own correspondent," on the subject of a crinoline mail-man. Your " own correspondent " no doubt thought that ho--was very facetious, and likely enough imagined that, for a first attempt,, he was doing wonders. I would ask your " own," whether the mail is not safer in the hands of a grown woman,. than in the hands of a boy about "three feet in height? ISTo complaints were made during the past twelve months, whilst a boy-of the above description'.carried the mails ; but now that a woman of mature age, and known respectability, chooses to take charge of the mail bags when she has business at JNaseby, your " own correspondent" finds immediately that the service is going to the dogs. For my own part, I can only say, that I would sooner trust my letters with the crinoline mail-man, than with your own. correspondent.—l am, &c, Asinus.
