THE MAEREWHEJSTUA LAND SALE. Thursday. An indignation, meeting was held at the Maerewhenua Diggings protesting against the sale of auriferous land to Campbell. There was a large attendance of miners. William Williamson was in the chair. The sale of the land was strongly condemned, and the Government severely commented on. The meeting appointed delegates to represent the matter to the Government, who are now on their way to Dunedin.
