A. private meeting of the Gold Fields members was held this morning to endeavour to arrange a common course of actipn upon mining matters. The meeting decided to support a reduction of the Gold duty to two shillings, and to use its best endeavors to obtain measures for securing the expenditure of Gold Fields revenue on Gold Fields purposes. July 23., - Mr. Hall took his seat in the Legislative Council.
