Resident Magistrate's Court. (Before H. W. Robinson, Esq;, KM.)
Police v. Padgett.—Breach of the Licensing Ordinance. Tliis being a second offence within two years, a fine of £ls was inflicted, with £1 16s. lOd costs, to be paid within one month, or, in default, one month's imprisonment in ISaseby gaol. Mr, Bailey for the defence.
Warden's Court.
(Before H. W. Robinson, Esq., Warden.) Police v. O'Connor. —Carrying on business without being the holder of a business license. Eined £l, with lis. costs. Scandinavian Water Race Company v Eord and others.—Summons for water rent. Settled out of Court. Twenty - seven applications were heard and granted.
