Packman v. Dillon.—Claim, £lO 55.» hire, feed, and tailing defendant's horse for twelve months. Defendant admitted the charge for horse feed, but disputed both the charge for hire and for tailing and riding. Defendant further stated that he had many months ago, previously, indeed, to the account now rendered, desired plaintiff not to interfere with his (defendant's) horse, and had actually more than once driven it off to other stations to prevent his doing so. Judgment for £4 55., with 19s. costs.
Donald Mackay v. Margaret Sharkey. —Charge of assault. This case, in which the evidence was very conflicting, was dismissed with 21s. professional costs. Mr. Kowlatt for the defence. Mr. Smythies watched the case for the complaint. Donald Mackay v Terence Sharkey. —Charge of assault. Case dismissed.

Terence Sharkey v. Donald Mackay. —Charge ot using insulting language to th * complainant's wile, MargaretSharkey. .Fined 40s: and 12s. costs," or seven days' imprisonment in Naseby gaol. In these cases Mr. Kowlatt appeared for Sharkey, while Mr. Smythies watched the cases for Mackay. * -.^ The application of Alexander Stables for a slaughtering license at Hamilton was granted.
