Entries to be received by the Secretary, at the Victoria Hotel, Mount Ida, before 6 p.m. on 9th January, 1872, —entrance money en* closed, with name, age, pedigree (if any) of the horse, name of the owner, and color of the rider. I Any jockey riding, except in colors entered, will be fined £l la . Five per cent, deducted from the gross amount of all stakes for expenses. Horses walkiug orer will receive 50peroeofc. of the stakes. The Mount Ida Jockey Club rule# will be strictly enforced. Any person entering a protest will hare to deposit £2 ; and should such pretest be deemed frivolous by the stewards, will have to forfeit the same.
