Late news from Fiji by the Defiance state that the Tanna natives have killed and eaten Mr. Grrutt, planter. Mr. Grrutt, we believe, was at one time in the employ of Messrs. Dalgety, Rattray and Co., ani subsequent!v in that of Messrs. Harris and Co., Dunedin. The captain and crew of the Margaret Jane bolted with her, leaving the owners on shore.
