A DENIAL.
(To the Editor of the Mount Ida Cheoniolb.)
Sin, —In reading the letter of your own correspondent in the last issue of your paper I find he still adheres to what he said in a former epistle, viz., that at a meeting in the Kyeburn Church it was proposed, put to the meeting, and carried unanimously, that Morgan shout for all hands ; now, I as chairman of the meeting referred to, do hereby distinctly and emphatically deny that any such proposition was put to the meeting by or through me. I would further likewise state that during the evening I heard no remark, made jocularly or otherwise, that could possibly be construed into anything like the motion said to be made. I hope that in justice to the Kyeburn public, as well as for the credit of your valuable paper (which has hitherto been respected for its truthfulness), you will insert these few lines.—l am, <fec, Chas. lUy. Kyeburn Diggings, Sept. 11,1871.
