Sir, -I was under the firm impressi )ii, ami 1 m.iy perhaps also bo allowed to say I indulged the to rid hope, from reading your paper, that ere this some action would have neen taken in the matter of ilte removal ami the enlargement of the school house, and the appointment ot a schoolmistress. You stated thai, the sum of £2OO have heeu placed at the disposal of the Committee, for the Conner purposes, and, if I remember rightly, >ou said also that the sum of £SO had been voted for a schoolmistress' salary. If, nir, these statementH of yours were true, I Hhould like to be informed what the School Committee are about that they do not get both these sums into their hands and put them at once to their proper use. At a time like the present, when «i Ancss is making havoc in the ranks of the children, the necessity for the removal of the school to another and more healthy locality must surest itself even to the most callous, while the propriety of establishing a female teacher must be manifest to all who nave daughters attending school. I would ask you. then, if the sums to which I have referred have been placed at the command of the Committee, and if so, what the Committee have been a')out that they have not put them to their proper use.—l ain, &c., Paterfamilias.
