"THIGGIN THU."
(To the Editor of the MotJNT loaC'hbo.vxcijj.)
Sir, —A letter appeeared in your last issue, signed "Thiggin Tim," which to my mind appears to be the conception of the mind of a disappointed or expectant schoolmaster. At all ©vent
the letter is an effort of one who. has had easy access to school books, and one who has perhaps used his references to such books to some purpose in his examination of his pupil friend. We doubt if any but a veritable hedge schoolmaster* could understand the meaning of " politi al geography," how much less therefore could such knowledge be expected of a child of the tender years of "Thiggin ThuV friend. Either, say I, let " Thiggin. Thu " be reasonable, and cease to make a display of his easily acquired school book knowledge, or 'henceforth and for ever hold his peace.— I am, &c, Ebin-uo'Bbaoh.
