We are reluctantly compelled to hold over our leader, Resident Magistrate's and Warden's Courts, and correspondence, in consequence of a pressure on our advertising columns. The sale of horses, the property of Mr"' Samuel'lnder of Hill's Creek, is advertised to take place by public auction, by Messrs. The usual monthly meeting of the Mount Ida Lodge-of Freemasons w>ll be held in the Masonic Hall, on Wednesday evening next. An adjourned meeting of the recently appointed Presbyterian Church Committee was held <yi the evening of Monday last. Present —Messrs. J. Bremn,er (chair), M'lntosh (sec), G-lenn, Barron, Alexander, G-illieSj .MjUar, and Wilson. The minu,tes of last meeting having been read and confirmed, it was resolved that the Committee put itself' in 'communication with the Kyeburnand Blackfltono Hill districts, with the object of obtaining, further subscriptions. As Hamilton is already attended by the Bev. Mr.JjjFliimank, it was considered advisable not to communicate at present with that district. The othe* business was of an unimportant public character. A meeting of gentlemen favorable to a requisition being presented to Mr. James Macaesey, requesting that gentlemen to allow himself to be put in nomination as a candidate to represent the Mount Ida District in the G-eneral Assembly, took place at G-eorge's .Victoria Hall on the evening of Monday last. Maitland, ol'3£weburn station, is likely to come forward for the honor of representing the Mount Ida constituency. - The state of the bridge over Roach's G-ully in becoming daily more and more dangerous, and, as we have been informed, several accidents of an unimportant; have already occurred. We trust that in this instance the old adage—"When the steed, is stolen tjiey shut the Btable door " —may not be verified. The case is a desperate one, and one calling for immediate remedy. A few pounds qan, we believe, be made, to render the dangerous (structure, secure. Towards that end we invite public subscriptions, and a list havhig in view that object now lies at the ' Chronicle' office.
