Handicap Hurdle Race of 50 sovs, with a sweepstake of 2 sovs. Distance, two miles and a half, over four flights of hurdles, Prince's Sir Tatton, lOst 21b 1 Cowan's Poison, aged, 9st 61b 2. Noseworthy's Stackpool, 5 yrs, Bst lib.'. 3 Hazlett's Musician, aged, 9st 91b 4 A protest was entered Against Sir Tattan, on the ground that he ran inside a poßt. Grand Stand Handicap of 60 sovs. Distance, two. miles. Ray's Misfortune, 5 yrs, Qst 21b 1 Hazlett's Novice, 5 yrs, 7st 21b 2 Dawkins' Nelly Gray, aged, 7st 121b. ... S G-olden Cloud and Southern Chief also ran. The latter had a very bad start, and never showed in the race. Hack Selling Race of 20 sovs. Distance, one mile heats. Doodlem Buck ... ).. ■•• 1 —'Cromwell Argus.' Second Day. The- Miners' Purse of 15 sovs, mile heats, was taken by Roderick ; Kate, 2nd The Jockey Club. Handicap of 120 sovs, with a sweepstake of £5 ss, was a splendidly contested, race, and was won by Misfortune: Southern Chief, 2nd.
