THE NEXT SUPERINTENDENT.
(To the Editor of the Motot Ida Chboniclts.) Sir,-—Do you not think it is full time to preparations for the approaching elections; unless the electors are desirous that the present incompetent and corrupt system should be continued? Everyone seems disgusted with Mao andrew and his tail," but the question continually asked me is, ■ if Who can we get in his "place ?" Now, if that question means, " Where is there a tried man, able, honest, and a supporter of popular opinions ?" I do not think the answer is tar to Reek. The last session ot Assembly has conclusively shown both miners and settlers who are their true friends, and on whom they can depend. lam glad to say one of the =members for the Goldfields is at the 'head of this small band of faithful representatives, and as Mr. Bradshaw is a man of the highest attainments, and well able to adorn any office, I think we could not do better than ask Mm to contest the Superintendency on a popular platform. Whatever is to be done must, however be done quickly. — I am, &c. y V Elector.
