CORRESPONDENCE.

■ A.ix communications must be accompanied by 'j. the correct name and address of the -writer, - not lleeessarily for publication, but as n ■- . guarantee of good faith. We do not hold ourselves in any way responsible for the views and sentiments expressed by correspondents. (To the Editor of the Mount Ida Chronicle.) Shag Valley Station, . Feb.: 10. 1870. Sir,- —■ I wish to disabuse the niinds of the public of an idea whicli has, I think, resulted from my advertisement of the charge which I intend to make for cattle and horses grazing on this run, and from the terms in which you referred to that advertisement in a late, issue.

It is not at al] mj intention to invite the inhabitants of the neighborhood, especially those who are not actually residents on,the runs, to avail themselves of my terms : my wish is to have as few strange stock as possible, and merely to provide for those who. from their location, have no alternative but to put what stock they have on this country. I have already had applications from residents at a distance who wish to put cattle on in accordance with the terms I have advertised, and I take this step to prevent any more- from malting the same mistake.—l am, <fec., L. Moore.
