The Christmas spirit is not dependent altogether upon material wealth and prosperity, hut springs from a higher source, which, if properly understood, inspires its with hope and joy. The message of ‘‘peace and goodwill'’ dispels all uneharitableness and selfishness and points the way to real happi - ness. May this message dominate the hearts and actions of all this Christma-stide and enable us to see llie silver lining and to be happy and communicate- happiness to others. Tn this spirit we convey to our readers the time-honoured wish for a Merry Christinas and a brighter outlook for the New Year.
