HOME-MADE ’PLANE
Taihapc, Dec. 15. An employee of the electrical department of the Boroufh Council, Mr. iS.’ Freeman, has constructed in his spare time a single-seater monoplane. The ’plane has a span of 26£t. Pin. and an overall length of 14ft. Bin., and without the engine weighs 1701 b. As soon as the 35 h.p. Helios three-cylinder radial engine is installed the machine will he ready •for inspection by the air authorities. It is hoped to obtain a speed of 100 miles an hour and will require a runway of four chains to take off in.
