FOXTON SURF AND LIFE SAVING CLUB.
* A meeting of the Executive ot: tin- Fox ton Surf and Life Saving Club was held last evening in llam-ev’s rooms when -Mr. .M. E. I’crreau presided. There were also present: Messrs A. Alsop, R. Chaffey, G. Shaw, L. King, E. Morgan, AVI Adams, G. Ilirini, and J. Barrat: (secretary). Apologies for absence- were received from Air. Stan Austin and E. Bastion. The matter of patrolling the beach during the holidays was discussed and it was decided the team observe Christmas Day as a holiday. At New Year two teams will lie on duty, one on the ocean beach and the other on the river foreshore. Demonstrations will he given on New Year’s'Day. A Ivote of thanks was accorded AL-. A. Alsop and Mr. T. Challey for their services in repairing tlie Club’s dressing shed at the beach. Accounts amounting- ot £3 14/were passed for payment. At the conclusion the members present, were entertained at a very enjoyable snipper by Mr. Alsop.
