HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The Department of Agriculture has received the following cablegram, dated 13th instant, from the Ilig'h Commissioner for New Zealand, London: — Hemp:— Manila market firm. “K” grade November-January and Deccmber-Fobruarv shipments sold at £23 10/-, but easier at the close, value for “K” grade DecemberI'Vbriiary shipment, being £23. Sisal:— Market easier, afloat and early position shipments pressed for sale. January-Mareh shipment first grade fair average quality sold at £>2l 7/6, closing £2l. Good marks first grade DecemberIVbroary shipment, value £2l 10/-. New Zealand : Maiiklet quiet. Small business has been done in fair grade January-’March shipment at £22. Normal value high fair £23 10/-, common £2l.
