LONDON TO CAPE FLIERS CRASH.

Rome, Dec. 4

Miss Spooner and Edwards, who were endeavouring - to fly from London to (he Cape in five days, crushed in the Tyrrhenian Sea. They were rescued, Miss Spooner swimming ashore.

A later message says Miss Spooner came down two miles from the shore. The occupants of the ’plane shouted for assistance for two hours. Then Aliss Spooner swam through the ehoppv sea and informed a. fisherman, who rescued Edwards from the ’plane. Both (he lliers were slightly injured. Tin* machine was towed ashore.
