SOCIAL AND PRESENTATION.
On Wednesday cvcuisg a social and. dance was held in the Anglican Sunday schoolroom by members of the Foxton Basketball Club. There was a good attendance, members of the Life Saving Club and friends also being present. The dance music was supplied by Mr. L. Mattar, extras being played by Mrs. Coughferey. Mr. M. E. Berreau acted as M.C.
During the. evening Mr. 'Perronu made reference to Ihe good work Mr. E. Alsop had done for the Life Saving, and Basketball Clubs, and in that connection called upon Miss N. Dunn In make the presentation of a man’s dressing set, to which Mr. Alsop suitably responded.
During the evening novelty dances were won as follows: —Monte lOarlos: ‘Mr. E. Coley and Mrs. ('oughtrev, and IMv. B. Adams and Miss C. 'McKenzie; gents spot waltz, Mr. E. Alsop.
